U.S. Army Partners with the NHRA to Promote Education, Leadership and Teamwork

Since the 2000, Don Schumacher Racing and the U.S. Army have shown dominance and resilience in becoming one of the most successful teams in NHRA Top Fuel Drag Racing. The NHRA YES (Youth & Education Services) program, presented by the U.S. Army, is a highly successful educational motorsports program. The YES program is featured at 15 of the 24 races on the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series circuit. The program allows participants the opportunity to explore various career opportunities while gaining a new perspective on STEM by taking what they acquire in the classroom and applying it to real-world experiences. Students and educators heard thought provoking presentations from U.S. Army Soldiers, NHRA Top Fuel Drivers Tony Schumacher and Antron Brown, as well as business, racing and educational professionals.
