U.S. Army Partners with Steve and Marjorie Harvey Foundation to Provide Youth with Leadership and Team Building Skills

As part of its long-standing partnership with the Steve and Marjorie Harvey Foundation, the U.S. Army participated in the Steve Harvey National Mentoring Camp for Young Men in Atlanta from June 14-18, 2017 and in the “Girls Who Rule the World” camp in Atlanta from July 26-30, 2017. At both camps, nearly 300 students from across the country participated in workshops and team-building activities led by Soldiers designed to inspire the young men and women to reach their full potential. These activities focused on personal responsibility, leadership development, nutrition, physical fitness and decision-making skills. The planned activities challenged the young men and women to help them develop and improve on the skills they learned throughout the week.
