U.S. Army rocks the Abbey

The U.S. Army is cranking up the volume on its recruiting efforts with its own touring rock band. The band, known as “Dash Ten,” ripped through a blistering set list Friday evening at the student residence halls quad at Belmont Abbey College. The three-member band is made up of active duty Soldiers Sgt. Corrin Campbell, the lead singer and bassist, and Staff Sgts. Peter Greenberg, the drummer, and Stephen Ebert, the guitarist. Each member has been enlisted in the Army for more than a decade, having enlisted to play music as their service job. After playing with other military bands for years, the rock band’s members say it’s become a way to show people another side of what it means to be a Soldier. Read more
