SkillsUSA a hands-on challenge for high school students

Noah Ort likes working with his hands. "Oh, I love it," said Ort, 17 and a senior at Port Huron Northern High School. "I love what I do here." Ort is in the mechatronics program at St. Clair TEC. He and about 155 other students from St. Clair County high schools were competing in SkillsUSA contests. SkillsUSA offers support and competition for students engaged in what used to be called vocational education — students learning job skills while still in high school. Read more
